Behind the blog
One late afternoon in November of 2016, I purchased some web hosting space, installed the default template in WordPress, opened up the domain name registrar page….and waited for inspiration to strike. I honestly couldn’t think of a bloody name! I scoured the internet for inspiration….Nothing! After a couple of months using a not great option, The Blossom Edit was found. check out here why I started my blog who I am and what I stand for.
I toyed for a while with names, it was either House of Blossom (which I loved) Blossom is Olivia’s middle name & she was my inspiration after all. House of blossom felt a little restricted I felt as though I could only write about Olivia. The Blossom Edit was my second choice This way I could still write about my little blossom, her disability and our lives but I also wanted to write about Me, my mental health and my journey for a more mindful life including my struggles, triumphs and everyday challenges of Motherhood. The Blossom Edit still pays tribute to Olivia but also doesn’t restrict me.
I have a story to share.
This small community I know will grow, the comments and stories shared with me that sometimes reduce me to tears. I feel honoured that people are comfortable sharing their lives me.
You are not alone, we got you! I got you!
So if you’re out there and you’ve happened to stumble across this blog maybe you’re reading this with a big question mark over your head. Maybe Life has sent you a curve ball and right now you may feel lost. Maybe you feel like you’re live can only be focused on your child, I’m here to show that you also need focus. It doesn’t mean you’re less of a person, a mother it means you’re human!
So I want you to know you are not alone.
Do not stand alone!
