Have you Ever woken up on the wrong side of the bed and just felt, meh!?! Ever had an argument with someone that has put you in the worst mood EVER?
I actually wake up feeling like this quite regularly, An important decision needs to be made! I can either roll over & forget the world (let's be honest being a Mum this doesn't happen often) or pull myself together the best I can.
Here’s how I did it and how you can too:
Open All The Windows & Put On Something inspirational/motivational to listen to
Fresh air does wonders but if sometimes having children it's such an effort getting out of the house. I open all the windows feel the breeze & breathe in some fresh air, popping on my favourite podcast to listen to. Currently loving Rachael Kable The Mindful Kind. Do it – it really works
I often find myself writing blog posts. Painting with the girls is always fun, Olivia loves the texture & Sofiya loves the mess! It's a way for my mind to be filled with positivity and it enables me to have less focus on my stresses or negative thoughts.
Make Plans With Your Favourite People
Although all of us would love to jet off when things get too much, most of us can’t afford that, but we still need something to look forward to.
Whether that's a trip to the farm, a few cocktails, a trip to the cinema or a road trip to Chester. plan something!
Read A Book
Sometimes fantasy is better than reality and getting lost in a world that is far from what we know, is a safe way to switch off. I am currently looking for some classics to read so if you have any recommendations please leave a comment!
Tell Someone How Much They Mean To You
You get back what you put into this world so spread love and kindness always. This post was inspired by a simple text message from Michael this morning that said: "I love you x"! It made me smile the biggest, cheesiest grin and I felt so good.
If you can get outside
I honestly believe Living in a city does something to you & being surrounding by grey buildings changed my mood immensely. Getting outside makes me feel so peaceful.
Take some time (nap time for me) and try meditation you will be surprised how relaxed you feel afterwards
If you’re having a bad day, remember that it doesn’t mean you have a bad life. You are only human and allowing yourself to feel emotions (even the shitty ones) leads you to become self-aware. You’ve got this – even when you feel like you don’t. Why not take a look at why self-care is important here
