Community lead Campaigns will always have my support. Especially when a movement is creating awareness around Diversity, when John the founder of #ILiveItIblogIt and creator of Johns road to volunteering asked me to be apart of it I jumped at the opportunity. The message behind the campaign is something I’ve been keen to acknowledge.  Diversity or lack of within the Blogosphere. Worldometers provides a “real-time” count of the number of blog posts written each day.… View Post

I couldn’t help but notice that a well-known blogger Harriet from Toby & roo was the talk of the blogosphere and as somebody who’s followed her blog I was intrigued. Her blog post DNA ENGINEERING TO PREVENT DISABILITIES:: WHY I THINK WE SHOULD PLAY GOD has caused quite a shit storm. As a mother of a child who is severely disabled here’s my take. A species in which we’re all genetically modified wouldn’t succeed. I… View Post

Over the years I have tried many different ways to learn how to love ME, flaws & all. For the most part growing up, I always believed I needed to be thin to be happy, to be attractive & to be successful. I’ve abused diet pills, I survived off 1 banana & 1 bowl of soup every day for 2 months. I joined awful websites uploading photos of myself to be ripped apart so I… View Post

The natural next step for most families, with a child with significant physical disabilities, is to then begin transitioning their child from a home-based therapy programme to a special needs school. Luckily we have chosen a school (which we’ve just received our confirmation) where all therapy takes places during education hours. Including hydrotherapy! Our lives are primarily spent with intervention, we’re… View Post

Positively plan my year ahead, getting excited about what’s to come and thinking about to how to enjoy it to the full.… View Post
